To proceed with permanent account closure, please follow the process outlined below.

Step 1: Clear your account before applying

You cannot submit a closure request until your account is fully cleared. Please complete both the process before moving ahead.

  1. Holdings: If you have any shares or securities in your demat account, you must either:

    • Sell them before submitting the request, or
    • Transfer them to another demat account. The name and all details on the receiving account must match your records exactly, in the account closure form.
  2. Fund balance: Make sure your account balance is zero.

    • If your account balance is positive, you have to withdraw any remaining funds from the Accounts section on the Bullsmart app or website.
    • If your account balance is negative, you will need to deposit funds to make it 0.

Step 2: Submit your closure request

Once your account is cleared, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Account Closure Form. Account Closure Form.pdf
  2. Fill in all required details. Make sure everything matches the information on your Bullsmart account exactly. Mismatched details may result in rejection.
  3. Sign the form digitally. (See the section below if you need help with this.)
  4. Email the signed form to [email protected].

That is it. Our team will process your request and confirm once your account is closed.

How to digitally sign the form using DigiLocker

Following are the steps to sign the form using DigiLocker and your Aadhaar:

  1. Fill out the Account Closure Form completely. Account Closure Form.pdf
  2. Go to digilocker.gov.in and log in to your account.
  3. Click on Drive in the left sidebar.
  4. Click on Documents, then select Upload File.
  5. Upload your filled closure form.
  6. Once uploaded, click on Sign.
  7. Enter your Aadhaar number and click Get OTP.
  8. Enter the OTP you receive and provide your consent.
  9. Download the signed document and email it to [email protected].
